Why Megan?
Because every child deserves to see themselves as the engineer in the story — the one asking the questions, building the answers, and changing how the world works.
Representation matters
Most engineering stories don't feature girls who look like Megan. This series puts a curious South Asian girl at the center — so children can see themselves as the inventor, not the sidekick.
Curiosity is the real superpower
Megan exists for the children who are constantly asking: “Why?” “How?” “What if?” She exists for the children who may not yet realize that their curiosity has value.
Real engineering, child-sized
These stories are designed to spark curiosity early by helping children understand that engineering is not just for “geniuses” or grown-ups in hard hats. It is creative. It is imaginative. It is everywhere. Through real-world adventures grounded in how things actually work, Megan helps children see themselves as future problem-solvers, inventors, builders, and innovators capable of changing the world around them.
Built with families in mind
Designed to be read aloud. Designed to spark dinner-table questions. Designed so a parent who isn't an engineer can still answer 'but how does it work?' with confidence.
A note from the author
I created Megan because I wanted children to grow up seeing engineering differently — not as something intimidating or “only for certain people,” but as something creative, imaginative, and within reach.
I wanted every child who has ever been curious about how the world works to grow up with a hero who asks the same questions they do. Especially the children who may have been made to feel like engineering was never meant for them.
I hope Megan reminds children that curiosity is powerful, and that sometimes the people who change the world are simply the ones brave enough to keep asking questions.
